Book Launch - Noor o Soor Design Album
After months of preparation and hard work, we are finally ready to make our first print publication available nationwide.
With our first launch at Alef Book City in Zaferanieh, Tehran, we introduced “Noor o Soor - Banquet of Light” to the public. The launch was accompanied by an introduction of MTM by our Director, Dr. Amin Shirazi, a project and research outline by Hoda Arbabi, our Head of Research, and a poetic ode to Iranian designs in textile and carpet motifs by Bavand Behpour, guest speaker and international lecturar on Iranian contemporary art.
A parallel exhibition of our handmade sequin embroidered reproductions inspired by the collection, a limited edition of silk screen prints featuring one of the wall hangings’ original designs, as well as posters featuring linearized motifs took place at the venue.
